4. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored by your browser. They help our website work properly and help us understand how visitors use it.

We use the following third-party tools:

  • Google Tag Manager, to manage the tools on our website
  • Google Analytics, to understand website traffic and visitor behaviour in aggregate

These tools collect information such as your device, browser, pages visited, approximate location (city or region) and how you arrived at our site. This information does not usually identify you personally.

You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the website work. You can also manage how ads are shown to you:

We expect everyone we share information with to keep it secure and use it only for the purpose we provided it for.

6. Information stored overseas

Some of our service providers, including Google and Meta, store information on servers outside New Zealand. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected in a way that is comparable to the protections in the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

7. Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access or disclosure. These steps include using secure, password-protected systems and limiting access to people who need it.

If a privacy breach happens that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as the Privacy Act requires.

8. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires (for example, tax and building records). When we no longer need it, we securely delete or destroy it.
