MODERN KITCHEN DESIGN WITH FLUTED ISLAND AND SANT ANGELO GRANITE
This Long Bay kitchen renovation by Fluid Interiors demonstrates how premium materials and thoughtful cabinetry design can elevate a space. The result is a bold yet functional kitchen that perfectly balances aesthetics with practicality.
The hero of the space is the Sensa Sant Angelo Leathered Granite benchtop and splashback, known for its striking texture, deep tones, and dramatic veining. This bold stone sets the tone for the room and acts as the visual anchor of the kitchen.
Complementing the granite are custom cabinets in Melteca Classic Oak and Prime Dezigna White, offering a mix of natural warmth and crisp contrast. Together, these materials create a cohesive and inviting space that feels modern yet grounded.
A standout feature is the custom fluted curved island, constructed using Genia architectural panelling. This sculptural element softens the layout and enhances flow, turning the island into a functional centrepiece for entertaining and everyday living.
Brass accents, including Lo & Co handles and ABI Interiors tapware, introduce a refined warmth and tie in with the natural materials throughout. Integrated LED lighting brings everything to life, highlighting textures, enhancing functionality, and creating ambience across key areas.
From the kitchen and scullery to the laundry, study nook, and TV unit, this project reflects Fluid Interiors’ commitment to tailored cabinetry and timeless design.
Kinfolk Café and Eatery – Long Bay | Bespoke Cabinetry by Fluid Interiors

Custom banquet seating in Oak and Walnut veneer offers hidden storage, while the counterfront, finished in 8mm Walnut Wave Flex panels with a tiled toe kick, adds subtle detail. Exterior ply seating clad in Vitex decking extends the warmth outdoors, and Prime Stone Calacatta Gold countertops bring a refined, tactile quality to the interior.
Designed to be enjoyed — whether for a coffee, a meal, or a quiet moment to unwind — this space is a testament to careful attention to detail and craftsmanship.
We’re proud to collaborate once again with TEAM Fitout, seeing our cabinetry play a key role in creating such a beautifully detailed and functional environment.
Bayswater Kitchen – A Seamless Collaboration in Contemporary Design
A thoughtful collaboration between Fluid Interiors and interior designer Cathryn Davey of Revision Space, this Bayswater kitchen renovation is a refined expression of curated materiality and considered craftsmanship — where every detail has been chosen with purpose, and where modern functionality meets Mediterranean warmth.
From the moment you step into the space, a calm, organic palette welcomes you. Custom kitchen cabinetry in Melteca Baikal Natural pairs elegantly with Melteca Aged Walnut for a finish that feels both grounded and elevated. The addition of Ripple Flex 47 Oak panels, stained to match, brings a fluid sense of movement and visual softness to the joinery.
At the centre of this contemporary Auckland kitchen design is the hero: a dramatic Calacatta Verde honed marble splashback, designed with radiused corners and framed by negative space. More than a surface, it functions as a sculptural focal point — proof that utility and artistry can co-exist. Even the olive oil bottle was selected to echo the green veining of the marble — a subtle nod to the level of detail driving every design decision.
The benchtops are Porcelain Laminam Supernova Luna White, just 12mm thick for a clean, modern silhouette. Integrated negative detail handles give the cabinetry a seamless look, complemented by Signature brass hardware on the walnut bi-folds and satin nickel handles on the Baikal fronts. A full-height wall of push-touch cabinetry in curved Ripple Flex paneling completes the picture — sculptural, practical, and quietly luxurious.
This bespoke kitchen is a masterclass in New Zealand interior design, bringing together natural textures, refined finishes, and innovative detailing. A daily space elevated into an immersive, tactile experience — balancing beauty, function, and timeless design.
